One step ahead of catastrophe

It’s been a while, I know.  I have had quite the month.  I’m working on writing it up- but in the meantime, here’s a silly little ditty that says it quite nicely.

Running one step ahead of catastrophe
Pushing on, no matter the pain;
All these thing I do with almost no sleep
And then do it all over again.

Sometimes I wish I could just sit still
and laugh out the kinks with a friend,
For at the end of the day- what really crumbles my heart
is wishing for someone to understand.

But thru it all, it’s nice to remember
That I have a secret best friend
He’s been thru it all- the Lord of us all,
And promises to stand by me till the end.
